PIROVAC, a lovely and picturesque little town with abundant nature, and decorated with the help of busy hands of the few of its dwellers with historical monuments of permanent value, is located at the western-most part of the Šibensko-kninska county, and is a municipal centre and along with Primošten, Vodice and Murter the most significant tourist centre of the Šibenik Riviera.

Pirovac has always been focused in an economic, tourist and ecologic sense, on its greatest natural treasure, the Bay of Pirovac - a natural phenomenon cut 10km into the rock, embraced by Mediterranean vegetation whose enchanting fragrance is mixed with the ancient scent of the sea, in which a mild sea current makes for a summer water temperature in the bay, which is
3 - 4 °C above average temperature of the Adriatic sea measured at that time of the year. The Bay of Pirovac is abundant with beautiful coves and at its western entrance is a fairy-tale islet of St. Stephen, lovingly nicknamed Sustipanac, with the remains of an ancient monastery and a church given to the Glagolitic Franciscan monks of the third order, by Petar Draganić, the landowner of Pirovac, in 1511, jutting out over the vista of the islet.
At the southern side of the bay in the Makirina Cove is a natural spa rich with the curative peloidic mud. A combination of mild climate, a well-indented coast, numerous coves and sandy beaches, vegetation, pine tree forests and ancient olive-groves, clear and warm sea, wonderful sunsets and the beauty of the inner coastal strip presents a unique pleasure and experience for all visitors to PIROVAC.
